Loza
Located in the north eastern coast, north of Canvanas, east of Carolina and west of Ro Grande, Loza is a scenic town surrounded by sugar cane plantations. The town, named in honour of Yuisa or Luisa, one of the women caciques on the island when the Spanish conquerors arrived, gives an interesting insight into the rich history of the region. It is also a major attraction for the nature and adventure enthusiasts.

- Festivals: Loiza was inhabited by Nigerian slaves of the Yoruba tribe in the 16th century, Today it greatly reflects the African-inspired traditions in festivals such as Fiestas Patronales. The nine day carnival is marked by salsa dancing, masquerades, colorful parades and rich Puerto Rican food.
- San Patricio Church: The church, whose construction began in 1645, is the oldest on the island and is still active as a parish church.
- Beaches: You can spend long lazy days soaking in the sun, watching people and taking in the breathtakingly beautiful views of the coastline. Two beaches worth checking out include Aviones Beach and Vaca Talega Beach.

Loiza is about a 20 minutes drive from Old Juan town and so if you want a change from the solitude and long starlit walks on the pristine beaches, you can head to the many bars, pubs and nightclubs located there.
